9 Steps to Start Making Money Online For Newblies
I started making money online this year. I always wondered if it were possible for a normal guy to make money online. Well it is definitely possible! You too can also start making money online as soon as tomorrow believe it or not. Now maybe you'll start off just making a little say, 300 dollars a month but its a start. I'll give you the run down but first understand that I am no guru. I don't have much experience with computers or web design and my explanations are not very technical or jargon based. I'm just a regular guy, (actually I am a full time freelance writer) who started to earn some serious (finally!) cash online. Here's the system I finally ended up using. I'll tell you basically what to do and if you want more info there's plenty of free ebooks available for download online. Actually there are too many!
1. Create some free web sites at terapad.com or some other place. They don't have to be free of course but I was broke so I needed something very low cost to set up. At first just set up one website and learn how to get around the control panel and how to add links and stuff. After you learn the basic idea of how to set up your site (mine are just one or two page sites...very simple) you'll eventually need to make about 10 sites. Or 100 for that matter.
2. Don't post your site right away work on it first! Learn some Search engine optimization basics. I'll set you up with a link later.
Search out hot markets. Think of a keyword or phrase and type it in to the search bar. Notice the sponsored links that show up on the right. Are there a lot of them? If so then this is a hot market. For more ideas on hot market research I'll hook you up with a link.
3. Pick a broad, large market.
4. Write an article relevant to your market.
5. Join some free affiliate programs and surround your article with banners and ads. You make money if people click on them and purchase products. So you want to make sure that the kind of people coming to your site are actually interested in maybe buying something related to your sites content. That's a no brainer. But how do you attract the exact people you want? How do you get your special target visitors to come to your site in huge numbers? There is an answer! More on that later.
6. Advertise space available on your site. Something like, your ad here instead of this one for only $297!! You WILL sell these spots. How? Well you can do it yourself or you can have it done for free with some ad services online! At the end of my little outline I'll give you a link that will really get in depth.
7. Allow people to sign up to your site with email and first name. This is actually really underestimated and really powerful! Don't forget it.
8. Use Google Adwords to secure a top rank placement for your ad. Pay per click strategies work very well to bring in a very targeted customer/visitor base. The problem is it costs money. The good news is there is a way around it! Yes its legal of course but its not a very well known trick so it works out really nice! More about this little trick later.
9. Submit your site to the many free directories online. I will provide you with a list. Combining PPC and "organic" SEO is the best way to go. Organic seo is simply choosing the right keywords, building high value links, leaving posts in forums with links to your site, submitting to search engines and directories etc...This also includes submitting to search engine directories and press releases. Take advantage of the many ways to build back links to your site. Also, directories and forums are a great place to get indexed by the crawlers!
So there you have it!! One way to start making money online.
